How to Use the World Clock & Converter

  1. Check your device’s current time in the "My location" card at the top
  2. Add cities with the popular-city buttons or the full time-zone dropdown
  3. Each card shows the current time, date, day/night, difference vs Seoul, and DST
  4. Switch to the "Time Converter" tab to convert a meeting time between two cities

Everything About World Clocks and Time Differences

Video calls with overseas teams, checking when US stock markets open, coordinating travel, calling family and friends far away — there are more moments than you might think when you need another country’s current time. With no server or external API, this tool uses only the IANA time zone data built into your browser to show the live time in major cities, updated every second. Each card shows the city and country, current time (h:m:s), date, weekday, a day/night icon, the difference from Seoul, and DST status.

Relative to Korea, the differences to major cities are: New York is 14 hours behind (13 during DST) and Los Angeles 17 hours behind (16 during DST). London is 9 hours behind (8 during DST); Paris and Berlin are 8 hours behind (7 during DST). Dubai is 5 hours, Beijing 1 hour, Bangkok 2 hours, and New Delhi 3 hours 30 minutes behind Korea. In the other direction, Sydney is 1 hour ahead (2 during DST) and Auckland 3 hours ahead (4 during DST), while Tokyo has no difference from Seoul.

Daylight saving time (DST) is the main reason time-difference math goes wrong. The US, Europe, and Australia move clocks forward an hour in summer, but the start and end dates differ by country, and Korea, Japan, China, India, and Thailand do not observe DST at all. This tool determines each city’s DST state for the date you view, so the time and difference are correct for "now". Cities that observe DST show a status badge, making it obvious why a difference is not what you expected.

The converter mode translates a specific date and time between two cities — for example "Seoul 3PM = New York 1AM" — so you can line up a meeting at a glance, which is especially useful across large gaps. When the date rolls over, a "next day / prev day" note appears alongside the exact difference. You can toggle 12- and 24-hour formats, and copy the result or any city’s time with one tap to paste into a chat or calendar.
