It uses RDAP, the international standard that replaces legacy whois, and supports most TLDs including .com, .net, .org, .io, and .dev. The expiry date is the headline number. Miss a renewal and your website and email go down together — and in the worst case, someone else snaps up your domain. This tool displays the expiry date with a large days-remaining counter and shows a red warning badge when renewal is due within 30 days. It is also handy for checking when a domain you would like to acquire might become available.
Domain statuses come as EPP standard codes like clientTransferProhibited, which can look cryptic. The tool adds a plain-language explanation under each one: transfer locks are normal protection against hijacking, while states like pendingDelete or redemptionPeriod signal that a domain is about to be released or is in its post-expiry recovery window. The nameserver list tells you which DNS provider (Cloudflare, Route53, and so on) the domain currently uses.
Note that Korean .kr and .한국 domains use KISA's separate whois system and cannot be queried via RDAP — the tool detects them and points you to KISA's official service. Also, registrant personal details (name, email) are redacted on most TLDs under privacy regulations like GDPR, so what you see is the public registration metadata.
